Join us Saturday, June 13th for a cartooning and storyboarding workshop led by Penny Schneider: author and illustrator of the graphic novel Arty! All participants will receive their own Arty book to take home. Tickets for this event are $30 for both members and non-members!

Penny Schneider will be leading a cartooning and storyboarding session for inspired by her own graphic novel Arty. Students will get to create their own friend for Arty using graphite and colored pencils.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Penny Schneider is an author, illustrator, and art educator living on Long Island, New York. Her love of art and making children happy led her to her career as an art teacher for over 30 years.

Arty is her first published novel. It is a children's graphic novel about a betta fish who, unlike other bettas, wants a friend instead of a fight, and finds an unlikely companion in a sea slug, leading to humorous adventures and heartwarming lessons about friendship.
